Features of Desiccant Air Dryer:
According to the demand on the air consumption for regeneration, the desiccant air dryer are divided into no heat type and micro heat(heat purge) type. Heatless regeneration desiccant air dryer is equipment to dry compressed air by using pore shape desiccant to dry water molecule sieve; it is based on the principle of Pressure Swing Adsorption. Heat purge regeneration desiccant air dryer is working with regenerative air and warm the desiccant then re-use it. It not only improves the regeneration effect also reduces air consumption with energy-saving function.
The desiccant air dryer uses molecular sieve or alumina as the desiccant to adsorb moisture in the compressed air under a certain working pressure. Then, re-lead a part of dry air from the dryer outlet for desorption at atmospheric pressure. One tower is for water adsorption and another for desorption and regeneration. The two towers can work continuously to provide the air consuming equipment with dry, clean compressed air.
The twin tower dryer is widely used for outdoor applications requiring compressed air in cold areas, indoor applications requiring compressed air of long-distance pipeline transportation, and manufacturing process requiring deep drying, such as advanced spraying, jet flow control, polyester spinning etc.
